Webster Home Services offers two cleaning methods, the Air Wash with Viper Whip System, and the Brush Method.

Each system has specific advantages, but the Brush Method is most commonly used for commercial cleaning. Please read about each method below and decide which will work best for you.

1. Air Wash with Viper Whip System
The Viper Whip cleaning system works well for newer homes where cleanings have taken place on a regular basis from the completion of construction and then every three to five years. Each residential duct cleaning using the air wash with the Viper Whip system should take a minimum of 1-3 hours, depending on the size of the home. When our technicians arrive at your home they will explain the cleaning procedure and answer any remaining questions you may have. Tarps will be placed on walking surfaces when necessary to protect floors and trim.

The Viper Whip Method

  • The most advanced air cleaning system available!
  • Unique skipper ball/whip combination
  • Works in round or square ducts
  • Able to clean in one pass
  • Cleans 100' of duct through a 1" hole
  • Cleans vertical and horizontal ducts at the same time

With the air wash Viper Whip system , the return air side and the supply air side are cleaned separately. The vacuum is attached to which ever side is being serviced. 1" holes drilled into the trunk lines allow the technician to install the Viper Whip. Once the vacuum is in place, the technician blows each supply vent with 200 psi of clean air, working all debris toward the vacuum. Magnets are placed on return vents while the lines are being cleaned to prevent blow-back of dust.

Once all of the supply and return air ducts have been cleaned and the access holes are plugged, our technician will clean the furnace and heat exchanger. He will clean or replace the filter, depending on the type of filter.

2. Brush Method
The Brush Method is the industry's most thorough cleaning method and should take between 2-4 hours to complete, depending on the size of the home. The Brush Method is recommended for homes with transit heating where the amount of construction related debris and moisture could be more prevalent. It is also recommended for homes that have never had the ducts and furnace cleaned, homes that have pets, and recently remodeled homes.

Clean air ducts
Air conveyance systems and simple exhaust systems collect dust and debris from the air as it passes through the system. Continued circulation of dust and debris may lead to higher operating costs.

Long-term buildup of certain contaminants may also lead to health complaints. People spend about 90% of their time indoors, and the air inside homes and other buildings can be more polluted than the air outside — even in the most industrialized cities.
